Cops investigating fireworks planted at book signing of The Chin's daughter

A wiseguy sealed the front door of a downtown tea shop yesterday and planted fireworks inside, hours before the daughter of mobster Vincent “The Chin” Gigante threw herself a book-signing bash there.
Workers at the Sullivan Street Tea & Spice Co. couldn’t open up yesterday morning because the front-door lock had been sealed with glue. Inside, workers found two unlit firecrackers.
The vandals struck hours ahead of author Rita Gigante’s arrival to autograph copies of her “The Godfather’s Daughter: An Unlikely Story of Love, Healing and Redemption.”

Cops believe the shop was targeted because of Gigante but she went through with it.
“It didn’t let it deter me,” Gigante said. “I’ve spent years cleaning out old, negative stuff and things that I feared.”
Before the tea shop opened last year, the space was the Triangle Social Club, the Chin’s hangout and one of New York’s most infamous Cosa Nostra clubhouses.
