James Franco turns down role as John Gotti Junior in new movie

Movie bosses behind the upcoming Gotti family biopic are struggling to fill the role of John Gotti, Jr. after Johnny Depp, Robert Downey, Jr. and James Franco all turned down the part.
The star-studded cast of Gotti: Three Generations already includes John Travolta as mob boss John Gotti, along with Al Pacino and Lindsay Lohan, and film chiefs are currently looking to find an actor to play the Travolta's onscreen son.
Depp, Downey, Jr. and Franco have all been considered for the part along with The Hurt Locker's Jeremy Renner, but none of the actors have been able to commit to the project, according to executive producer Marty Ingles.
He tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Franco turned it down and Depp, Jeremy Renner and Downey, Jr. were too busy with other movies. We are going to have to put out an urgent casting call. Junior is a big part of this movie. It is very much his story."
