Guilty plea for 'Sopranos' actor Darrow

He played a mobster on "The Sopranos," and now a longtime character actor will come face-to-face with real-life justice.
Anthony Borgese, who uses the stage name "Tony Darrow," pleaded guilty today in Brooklyn federal court to one count of participating in an extortion conspiracy to collect a debt by using enforcers with the Gambino crime family.
Borgese showed no emotion as he silently left the courtroom and donned a pair of mirrored sunglass.
"It's a difficult time for him," his attorney, Kevin Faga, said "He's not going to make any comment."
As part of a plea agreement with the US Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, he is expected to serve between 33-41 months in a federal prison.

If he had gone to trial instead of pleading guilty before Judge Eric Vitaliano, the 72 year-old actor would have faced up to 20 years behind bars.
Borgese, who played Larry Boy Barese on the popular TV show and was featured in the films "Goodfellas" and "Analyze This," was indicted two years ago for the 2004 violence in upstate Monticello, in which several Gambino family enforcers allegedly left the victim with his jaw and ribs broken.
On an FBI recording, one of the Gambino heavies is heard saying:
"So Tony [Borgese] meets them...shows them where the house is. They go to the house...the guy answers the door...they beat the living s--t out of him."
