A mobbed-up nightclub owner who wore a hidden wire to bring down a gaggle of gangsters was sentenced to no jail time Friday on drug charges.
Gaetano "Guy" Fatato was facing 10 years in prison but federal prosecutors argued that he had earned leniency for his “extraordinary” work as an informant.

Assistant Brooklyn U.S. Attorney James Gatta said Fatato had gathered extensive evidence against all five of New York City’s Mafia families, including legendary Colombo underboss John "Sonny" Franzese.
Fatato, 41, secretly recorded hundreds of hours of conversations that brought down Franzese.

Franzese is due to be released from prison in four years — when he will be 100.
